A card for Friday Sketchers

Ahh, finally back and it feels really good. Life kind of took over these last couple of weeks with Christmas and an ill cat that now looks like furry meatloaf. I would show you a picture of his head but then you would never visit this blog of mine again. He looks terrible the poor thing! It's first time his allergy hits him like this during the winter. Has always looked like a summer problem but no, not that lucky.
So for my card then, I have followed the wonderful sketch made by Claudia over at Friday sketchers. It's a lovely one and I will use it again that's for sure. So thanks a lot for that one Claudia. My Designer papers are from Bearly Mine which very soon will start the very new challenge blog. Please come and join us there. These DP are from the digi set Peach Delight. There will also be four new digis coming up in the store 2nd of January and let me tell you they are yummy!
My image is from Giordano and can be found at Joanna Sheens lovely store. I have many of those stamps but find them really hard to colour. Someone told me practise make perfect so that's what I do, and I do keep buying more of those cuties. :) These sweet little friends have I coloured with distress inks and it was stamped on Promarker heavy cartridge paper for Promarker pens. Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the charm is from Pagoni. The half pearls is made with a pearl maker pen.

So with all this said I wish you all the best for the new year. May it be filled with joy and happiness and as much crafting as you wish for!

Oh! I am very humble to see that I'm getting more and more followers. It means the world to me and I hope you keep poping by every now and then. Welcome to my little corner of the blogging world! You make this meaningful and give me inspiration to keep going with this. Thank you to each and every one of you. You rock!

Love n' hugs,
Marie

Morning to you all

It's a fabby morning here in Kalmar. Sun is shining and the temp is in a lovely -4. A crisp winter morning and I love it! Best weather ever! I feel so much better when it is like this. My joints doesn't hurt as much and I feel happier even with tons of things that needs to be done. Just wonderful!

Have also made a little Christmas card that has been left unblogged for a little while. It's a card going in green grey colours with an image from LOTV. No surprise there as I have followed the wonderful sketch from their latest challenge that I plan to enter. :) My DP are from Bearly Mine Design. The image is coloured with the trusted promarker pens. A few pearls, die cutted snowflakes and embellishments finish the project off. And the calender circle is also from LOTV. So very useful! And once again since the crazy girls over at PfP have an open theme for a couple of more weeks I will enter my card there as well. You know how to keep busy gals! :)

Now time for some relaxing time in bed with an ooohh so exciting book. It was really hard to put it down last nigtht, so I have to continue reading it now. Off I go, bye bye (just like my english teacher used to say in 7th grade!)

Love n' hugs

Finally a moment to do something for MI!

Having had tons to do the last week it's finally time for me to publish a little card or project for you to see. I think I start with my big project. Well, it kind of grew. It started of with two, then ended up with 6. How did that happen? Well, at the day care were my boys spend their time there is always cheerful parent that take care of little gifts from the kids and parents to the teachers, but other staff that doesn't work that close to the kids often get forgotten, as well as the substitute teachers that is there for a longer time. So this year I started to make a few candles for the boys to give away. It was just that they keept coming with more and more people that they thought should have a little something. I had to stop at six, as I ran out of candles to decorate. Thank you for that! LoL.

It was however worth the effort as the cleaning lady got tears in her eye and the boys was so proud to give away something that mum had made. Don't know how many times I heard them say that, especially the olderst one. Lovely and sweet of him. Tomorrow we hand over the last one finally. Good to have that out of the way. Then I just need to figure out what to make for one of Philip's teachers that works her last day next week, and start working at a new Kindergarten close by. How I will miss her! She is the best of the best when it comes to dealing with kids (and parents)! Lucky for me we live next door to her sister and will see her every now and then.

So to decorate my candles I have used Magnolia's Santa with Sack. Love that fellow. A joy to colour and such a sweet face. So that is done about six time, not counting my practising ones. Then an Edwin stamp from the fall club kit of this year. Used him to make the tags. Then some DP to decorate my home made candle holders, mostly to make a sturdy bottom for the candle to stand on when the boys carried away the whole thing. I always use a CD-disc at the bottom and work my way out from there. A good round base for the decorations and candles to rest. I had them taken to the day care in different days so I don't have any photo of them together...

Since I now have finally managed to get them up on the blog, I would also like to enter them to the Passion for Promarker challenge with the theme anything goes and the I love Promarker Challenge where the theme is Santa. Does candles count? The tags might help to stay in the game...:) It will also go in to the challenge of For Fun Challenges where the theme is Christmas.

This is all for now. I hope you like my small project that grew a little more than expected. Have one more X-mas card to make and then I refuse to make more Christmas this year, but I do still have "a few" unused X-mas stamps... hmmm...

Love n' hugs
Marie

So another Kenny K card from MI

I was lucky enough to be the lucky winner last week over at Kenny K's Challenge blog and from all the sassy chicks they have there, I go and chose a rocker! Well, I had an idea in mind but the time ran out so I had to make the card way different from the plan I had from the beginning. It's for my youngerst brothers birthday (turns 30, I feel so old...:(( ), and I believe he was born with the heavy meatal band Metallica in his blood. I can not remember a day when he didn't like them, either I'm old with a bad memorie or he has just followed them around the world always. I hope it's last that is the truth...;)
So over at Kenny K's this week it's monochrome as a theme and I went with the classic monochrome with black and white and all in between. This is the second time I've gone for the grey scale when I colour these images. I love that way to colour! May be not the most fun to watch, tons of grey but me love and it goes with any DP in the world! :) But I did not use any for this card. I made bricks and coloured them in with the promarkers as well. Thought that could be a "rock" theme. Added a few tickets and stars and that is all.

It's story time for Philip and then to bed. I will probably fall asleep as well. Been to the hospital today me and Philip. Me for some winter shoes and Philip needed new shoes for his brace. Born with club feet and  need that thingie to get well. It's getting harder and harder to get him to use it when he sleeps. I would also hate it if I was him!

Love n' hugs,
Marie

PS and while I'm at it, I enter this card as well to the mega X-mas challenge over at PFP. Theme anything goes, all the way to the fourth of January next year!

Long time no seen

Have been making over 30 Christmas cards the last week. Helping a friend out, only had about a week to finish them of and that is done now. Feels good but now I feel kind of empty. I had to hand the cards over last night and did not had any time to take photos, but they are done and away.

Nothing much has been going on here on my poor blog meanwhile so I thought I show a card I been struggle a little with the last couple of days. It's for my mother in law how suffered a stroke a few weeks back. She is one of the lucky ones that is not paralysed or have lost her speash. She says that it feels like having a wound on the inside instead of the outside and she's very tired. But luck I think. I do hope she realizes that herself as well.
So for my card then. The image is from my favourite company Lili of the Valley. The most adorable stamps. I so love the skechy style to them. :) The papers are from Prima and the flat blue flowers as well. The others are from Wild Orchid craft. Is there any better? I am so happy that they have flat round flowers to their range now as well. The lace is also from WOC. Pearls I bought ages ago, from Skaparlusten I thing. My darling image is coloured with my favourite medium, promarker pens. I kind of used last weeks sketch for inspiration as I love it. So thanks for that one.

So why tell all things that I love and adore here? Over at LOTV challenge blog this time the theme is just that "All the things that you love". Here it is LOTV image, flowers and happy designer papers. :) And as the cherry on top, my pearls. :) But the thing I love most in the world is COLOURS! All kind, pastels, brights, dark you name it I love it. :) :) I'm also entering this to the new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers that have the theme of  "Anything goes, just as long as you have used your promarkers or aquamarkers to colour with". The challenge goes on to 4th of January next year. It sounds like forever doesn't it? But it's only a few weeks left. Where does the time go?

So now back to the crafting table. Running a bit late with my youngers brother's birthday card so I have to work a little more on that before I go to bed tonight. But I sure am tired!

Take care and love n' hugs,
Marie

Icy colours for an icy day

It's snowing here again. Well, it has been snowing on and off for almost a week. It's probably around 30 centimetres with snow here by now. Nice and bright, and really cold. We normally don't have this much snow around here, near the coast and everything. I enjoy it, but it did arrive a tiny bit too early this year. Wonder if it will stay all winter? Hope so as it is nicer with snow than rain. :)

Finally card using the lovely Bearly Mine papers again. Once again I've gone for the blue ones, guess my favourite colour? ;) Most of these papers are from the lovely Christmas Delight and the one with the dotty one in the back is from the digi kit Christmas Wonderland. Pop on over to Bearly Mine to have a look for yourself.
The image is from "The stamping Bazar". A real cutie called Jolly Josie. Totally adorable to a cat lover like me. She is coloured with my lovely promarker pens. My flower decorations is a mixture of Prima and Wild Orchid's flowers. Probably went a little too mad with the flower but have not used any for decorations for a long time. Lost the touch a bit I think. :) The blue half pearls are from Bunny Zoes.

I enter this little creation to the following challenges:
* Bah! Humbug! - Felling the blues (last challenge of the year. Thanks girls, I've got more cards than I need!)
* Die Cut Dream's Christmas Challenge - Use a die Cut (spellbinders has been put to use here)
* The stamping bazar - Sketch to work with.

Now time to play some kiddie computer programs with the youngerst one, home sick again.

Take care and enjoy your day!
Hugs,
Marie

A couple of challenges

Here comes a card that I made last night. Unable to sleep I started to colour in this little darling from Kenny K's. This months freebee if I'm not misstaken. She is coloured with my grey pens, mostly warm grey. But then I remember the fabby tut over at Passion for Promarker where all kind of greys were used on the same image, different parts. Ahhha! So I tired that and loved the result of it. Pure joy going grey! To finish my card I have used one of Tim Holtz paper pads, Shabby Chic I believe this is.
A few challenges put this card into:
* Kenny K's - Think pink (my card is not totally pink, but it's there)
* Passion for Promarkers - Special challenge with bloghop (the little gal is coloured with promarkers) The new is the image and oldie is the paper pad.
* Friday Sketchers - as the sketch for the card comes from those lovely people.
* Inktegrity - Anythings goes

Hugs and everything nice and cosy,
Marie

Design Team call over at Kenny K's

So over at Kenny K's is a design team call going on. It's open til 30th of November so if your interested pop over there straigt away. Klick on the link to find out all the info you need. Reading all of the other ones who enter then design team call, i can tell t's a bunch of nervous ladies who wants a spot on the team. Which I would love too. :) Fun images to colour, totally different from everything else. Just as much as I love the cute and cuddly images from other places, I adore these digis because of there cartoonish (is there a word like that?) style. A little hotter, a little cooler and perfect for the cards we all stuggle with, male birthdays. :)

To show of two of your best cards is also something you have to do to enter the DT call. Hard to tell. I am not my own biggest fan that's for sure. However, these I kind of like at least. :) More than two but I don't seem to be able to stay at one style. Sometimes very simple, other times lots of layers, flowers and other decos...

Well, it's fun to give this a try and all I can do is hope for the best.

Take care and enjoy your day.

Hugs,
Marie
(Sorry about the totally strange colours on this photo. Snow and bad light is not very good for me and my camera! The card is acually grey and pink, using the Shabby Chic paper pad from Tim Holtz.)

Purple little gal

Hi and hello!
My boys are out playing in the snow that still comes down on us. Feeling a lot better but still with lots of cough. Never seems to end. Thought that I hurry and put this up on the blog, never know when I get the chance again. :)
For this card I have used a free bee from Inger Harding. Kind of cute and easy to colour in. She is all in lilac as that is the theme over at "Bah! Humbug!. The DP are from Panduro. I kind of smeared out lilac stickles on it and also embossed a the edges with silver embossing powder to break it up a little. The lilac looks a biut messy here on the photo IRL it's not as bad. Actually quite well balanced... :)

The sketch is from Sparkle Dreams Challenge. Flowers are from Wild orchid Crafts as well as the pearly things. Over at Passion for Promarkers the theme is something new and something old as it is time to shift design team there. The Challenge goes on for two weeks and also has a bloghop. Pop over and have a look for yourself! So my new stuff is two: the lilac glitter stickles and the DP, and the images has been on my computer forever, so that is the old stuff.

OK, nasty feeling that the boys are on the way inside again, so I stop here and wish you a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Marie

A Magonlia card

Could not sleep again last night strangely enough. I was up the main part of the day and the night before that with a sick kid again. :( It was a very long night let me tell you that. Now it's getting better and I do hope that the little one won't get this as well. Spent a lot of hours in the laundry room again...

The stamp is one of my all time favourties from Magnolia, Snowy with star. He has gotten some snow flakes around him, flower soft snow and lots of glitter glue. He is coloured with my promarkers. For the decorations I've used a ribbon from Wild Orchid Craft and I think that the pins are from there as well. Card Craft Candy, dew drops from the flower shop, and a charm from Bunny Zoe makes other parts of the decos together with the snow flake from  Panduro.

There is a few Challenges that this card fits into this week:
* Just Magnolia - white + one colour (blue in my case)
* Die Cut Dreams x-mas challenge -  Anything goes
* A spoon full of sugar - Anything goes
* Totallygorjuss Challenge - Not so traditional x-mas colours
* Papertake weekly Challenge - Cut it out (Border with DH Magnolia lace)
* I love promarkers - Anything goes, with a little bit of sparkle
* Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge - Christmas without red and green

Now of to some rest and maybe read a story to Willy who has been out playing in the snow for a little while. It came this night and I didn't have the heart to tell him to stay in even if he is still not totally well. He had a blast out there but not so much energy.

Hugs,
Marie

Passion for Promarkers

After a crazy weekend it was good to sit down today and make a plain and simple card. I have used one of the super cute stamps from BildmÄlarna for this card and coloured him in with the promarkers of course. The papers are from Bearly Mine Design again. Both of them are freebees. I am so in love with this green and blue combo, and it fitted perfect for the birthday card for my youngerst nephew. 1 year old already! It's the most happy kid on earth and so in love with balls that it's strange if you don't see him with one in his little hand. :)
The theme over at PFP this week is distress and stitching. Distress OK, stitching I don't know but I did have my sewing mashine out as I have been making curtains this weekend. So I thought I give it a try. May be it gets easier with time? I have some more curtain and table cloth making to do so I might give it another go when it's already up and running. Who knows? :)

Anyway, have to eat a little something and then some more cardmaking I think. Need the distraction as my knees hurts like - - - -.

Hugs
Marie

A sketch from StÀmpelgÄrden

About a week ago I found this wonderful and easy to work with sketch here at "home", in Sweden that is. This was found at "StĂ€mpelgĂ„rden". Buy a lot of my stamps from there and the service is super. Thanks girls! I mainly go for blogs in the UK and I have kind of promissed myself to keep a little more busy in my "home town" as well. :)
For this little card of mine I have used a BildmÄlarna stamp from the new Christmas collection, a little Tossa with a lantern. Really cute! The designer papers are from Bearly Mine Design. I love this deep red paper in the back ground and the little vintage feeling that comes with the paper with the red berries. Some squares to finish it off. I did also use that paper to make the flowers together with some prima and Wild Orchid flowers. A little gold stickles, pearl makers pen in gold (with foot steps from one of the cats. Had to repair down in the corner). Had some golden prints on the floor looked kind of fun, but not so fun that I wanted to keep them. ;) The "God Jul" sentiment is a bargin from StÀmpelgÄrden. I love it!

For the inside of the card I have once again gone for the square paper in green, it goes so well with this lovely insert from the digi set "Christmas Inserts". You find it over at Bearly Mine Design. The insert as I told from "Christmas Inserts" and the rest of the wonderful papers are from "Christmas Joy".

Time to deal with my headace. Probably try to rest or go to bed really early today and hope it's gone tomorrow.

Hugs,
Marie

Santa Claus is preparing for X-mas

With only a few weeks left till X-mas is here again, I've let our dear Father Christmas take the spot light for todays card. The stamp is one of the new ones over at Joanna Sheen's. There is a whole bunch of wonderful Christmas stamps in the Giordano stamp range. Fell in love with them the first time I saw them and are still aahhing and ooohhing over them. :)
In the corners I've used a stamp from Stempleglade grunge heart. Flowers are from Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. My pearl maker pens has also been put to use after just standing at my desk calling out to be used. The ticket stamp is from Magnolia. For the first time in ages I have used my aquarell colours. It was such a joy to get them out again. Have hardly not used them since I had my big period of painting pictures 15 years ago. Have almost forgot how to use them. :)

I enter this card to the following lovely challenges:
* ABC Christmas Challenge - X is for X-mas
*Lexi's Creations - Traditional Christmas Colours
The Stamp man - Christmas

So far it's a really dull day over here in Kalmar and I am not in mood for much. I think I go and find something to watch at the TV and the rest for a while. Get some rest and then hope for some new inspiration to make a card or two. Hope you have a little sunshine where ever you are.

Hugs,
Marie

Lili of the Valley

This week at Lili of the Valley Challenge blog you are free to use any image you want to, even if it's not LOTV. I however is using one of their wonderful images. I had to try the colour James tutorial that is up on the blog. Easier said than done as I only had four of the colours that was used so I had to do my own version anyway. It's a look a like at least. I feel that I have to practise to leave a little more white when I colour my images. At this point it's not ready before it's filled with colour. :)

The DP are, just like it has been the last couple of weeks from Bearly Mine Design. These ones are all from the new didi kit Christmas Dreams. I am sooo in love with that green colour. Delish! Have used my very much neglected pearl maker pen in gold. Think I have to use them before they dry out on my. :)

Well, it's almost time for dinner and hope that I can lay done one minute before it stands on the table. I'm changing my pills to a smaller doze and I feel the body wondering what is going on. Have been on them for almost two and a half year so I guess it will take some time to get them out of the system as well. Step by step.

Enjoy a wonderful evening,

Hugs for you all!
Marie

Finally! I am back!

Only two, almost three days late compared to what I wrote Friday morning. We got hit! Yepp, we got hit of the tummy flue. Well the kids did especially the youngers one. There is some crazy thing that goes on out there. This should be some kind of special tummy flue for the young kids, almost only two year old gets it. Guess how old my youngerst is? Right two. Thank you flue God! Just what we needed and I really love to do laundry. Baaah. Well it was short and "sweet" and it seems to be over now and now we just have to recharge our batteries to start off the new week a little later on today.

The card that has been put on hold is this blue and silver creation. (Please tell me why my cards always loses colours when they go and visit Mr Blogger? What am I doing wrong?)The reason for this colour choise is the "Totally Tilda Challenge Blog" where the theme is "Blue and Silver", then we have the "I love Promarker challenge" were the theme is "Icy Colours". To top it of the "Die Cut Dream X-mas Challenge" has "Snow flakes" as their theme. The sketch is from "Paper Take Weekly". Image is of course from Magnolia and the designer papers are from Bearly Mine Design, the new Christmas digi set called Christmas Dreams is used for this card together with a plain blue one and some scraps from one of the other sets. Yummi papers! There is a sale going on at Bearly Mine Design with 15% off and Donna herself has a wonderful blog candy up at her blog. So pop on over to have a look for yourself.
With that mixture of challenges going on I end up with this. Once again I have gotten some help from my oldest son (four years old). This time he was intrested in the distressing part with the inky things from T.H. It got a tiny bit too much but and we still have it on our hands as well. Kind of looks a bit taned. Kind of nice in this rainy weather. Anyway, it was fun and we would probably be at it still if he was allowed to. A little promise of him being able to try it again another day and a got play with the vacum cleaner got him of the ink pads. He still loves to help cleaning and this time it was something that really needed to be done. He had fun and I got to take care of my stuff. Mean mother, ain't I? Letting the kids play with the VC to get some cleaning done.
So something seems to be going on with Mr Blogger as well tonight as it now is huge trouble to save what you do in here. Hope this will be solved soon. Take care and enjoy your new week.

Hugs,
Marie

Ps: Monday morning and I am finally able to put this up. Thank you for that Mr Blogger!

Friday 12 November 2010

Thursday 11 November 2010

Good evening!

One day early in the morning the next late evening. No order of anything around here. Spent the day in a meeting and are really tired. But hopefully I will soon have some meaningful to do during the days. Not even I can spend the whole days making cards - in the end it would be boring. Well I have to wait and see what will come out of this meeting held today but now do the social insurance office and the employment office work for me for a while. I've been running to their meetings and answering all papers they have sent in while I have been on sick leave. Time to get a life and get away from home a little more. Have been home for more than four years now, time to start living. :)

So the reason for this posting, another card of course. A really simple one, but I did follow the sketch at Everybody-Art-Challenge perfectly. I just wasn't in the mood for tons of decorations. This dp from Bearly Mine is one of my favourites all time and I could use it all the time probably. Didn't want to cover it up too much, so plain and simple it is.

Have to buy some more of that webby thing from BunnyZoe. Kind of have run out of it now. I gives such lovely cover up without covering everything up. :) The other ribbon is from Wild Orchid Craft and started of as white. I kind of gave it a cover with my Aquamarkers and it got a lovely brown shade. It's actually the same pen I've used for the colouring of the lovely Tilda from last years Christmas collection from Magnolia. One pen only used here. I'm so proud of me! :)I had the patient to finally wait a little longer for the colours to actually dry, and then go over it again. Much more effective, but very stressful as I want it to dry fast. You know so you can go on with the colouring...

The reason for this sepia colour then? Well, Passion for Promarkers has this week the theme of "Old photos" so it's up to you to chose if you want to go black and white or sepia. I am also entering this card to the challenge at "Just Magnolia" where the theme this week is "everything goes with the option of beads". I don't know if my half pearls counts as pearls but it was optional so in it goes.

You don't forget that the new designer papers from Bearly Mine Designs goes on line on Friday 12th, do you? It's called Christmas Dreams and is filled with wonderful papers for all those Christmas cards that you have to do. This paper is from another set though called Christmas Delight.

OK, I better stop talking and get this thing posted and then go to bed. Tomorrow it's time to see a new doctor. A bit nervous but I chosed it myself, and I really need to get a few blood tests done, and o boy do I hate that or what? Feel sick just thinking about it. Didn't get better when the nurse I was talking to and who will do the bloody thing to me sounded a bit confused. Just what I need to feel calm. I'll be back if I survive this appointment. ;)

Take care each and every one of you!
Hugs,
Marie

Tuesday 9 November 2010

Good Morning!

Yet another Christmas card has came out from my crafting room. What will I do with all of these? But hey, as long as I have fun that's fine. This time I've gone all digital with both stamp and papers. The digi stamp is from Mo's digital pencil. I bought it way back to use at another challenge but got sick and never finished it, so it has been laying around for a while. I adore this image as it is how it has looked here the last couple of X-mases. Two young cats loving to play with the baulbs. They have so much fun, and look so totally surprised and silly when stuff comes down from the tree.

The designer papers is from Bearly Mine Designs new Christmas digi set (Christmas Dream) that goes on sale this Friday 12th. It's a great set that Donna has put together and you really should go and check it out together with the rest of her lovely digi papers.

I have followed the sketch from the Totally gorjuss challenge and will also enter this card to the new challenge at Fairytale challenges where the theme is "Anything Goes" as this is their first challenge. At Christmas card Challenges there is a inspirational picture to use. (I went for the X-mas tree).

I used my big shot to make a few buttons and a star with dies from Sizzix and Spellbinders. They are also made out of Donna's DP. I just added a star pin from Wild Orchid Crafts to match it all up.

Now I have planed for a little work out at the gym so I better prepare myself for that. Take care and I look forward to see you again!

Hugs,
Marie

Sunday 7 November 2010

Sunday and finally a new card to show...

Here comes a card that have taken me a whole week to get together. Sick kids makes it hard to finish anything. But now finally, and I even had a bit a luck with the weather. Got a little sunshine when I took the photo of the card, may be a little too much of it, but it's better than rain and clouds. :) Saw the weather report for the coming week and it is not looking to bright.

So this card is made with one of the new Magnolia Tilda's; Tilda needs a hug. Very sweet and adorable and fun to colour as well. For that I have used my trusted promarkers. What would I do without them? The tickets is made with a T.H die and stamped with whimsy sentiment stamps. Memento brown on purple cardstock. The designer papers are from Bearly Mine Design and the set is called "Christmas Sparkle". A new lovley digi set is on the way called Christmas Dreams. You will love it. Release day Friday 12th and there will also be a sale going on to celebrate Donna, the designer's birthday. Go over to the store and check it out for youself. Lots of wonderful papers to work with.

The card will be entered in the following challenges:
* Passion for Promarkers - Pearls, purple and lace

* Friday sketchers -  the sketch of course

This is all from me for today. Take care every one and have a wonderful time. Happy crafting!

And now Papertake Weekly Challenge

I have been working on some cards this week. My oldest son turned four yesterday and what do little boys love more than their mums? Yeah, right CARS! So as I did a simular card a few weeks back for his little mate, I had to make him one as well. This is how it turned out. The image is from a down load site with colouring pages for kids (and grown kids like me!). Made some check paper to go behind the image and teamed it up with some bright colours and I ended up with this. The theme at Papertake Weekly Challenge this week is "for the boys", so this card was as made for this challange. Lucky me!

So time for me to go and rest for a little while and then some crafting time before I pick up the kids from kindergarten for the last time this week.

Have a lovely day out there!
Marie

Ps: I should probably enter this at "Cards for Men" (Open theme, just has to be for men/boys this time) as well, after a little tip I got from a new  friend in the card making world. I have never entered that challenge so it would be fun. Thanks for the tip Shirley!

Back at DCD Christmas Challenge

Friday again and I have kind of been lazy when it comes to posting here this week. But now I am back again. This time I have chosen to do a card for the x-mas challenge at DCD Christmas Challenge. The theme for this week is to use a Christmas Digi Image. This little darling is a freebee from Inger Harding. She is so cute and I love the vintage look of her clothes. My DP this time is a mixture from Bearly Mine's and a paper that have been hanging around in my scrapbox forever. My flowes are my with a Marianne die, and a punch for the flowers. Quite plain and simple. Just the way I like it at the moment.

Have a wonderful day! I will try to do some crafting today as the weather is less nice to put it that way. Perfect crafting weather in other words. ;)

Hugs,
Marie

It's time again!

Time for another card to show off that is. Todays challenges is Bah! Humbug! with the theme of presents, and the sketch is from Friday Sketchers once again. I keep going with the X-mas cards as I love to make them. This one goes in blue, purple and grey and a little touch of silver to pop it up a little. I have no clue of where the papers are from. I have replaced the package somewhere and it refuses to show up. May be I have gosts here? ;) It might be Dovecraft...

The image is one of Lili of the Valleys wonderful Christmas stamps. So cute and sketchy looking. Love that look. Snow flakes made with create a flake from Spellbinders, half pearls from Bunny Zoe's as well is the "webby" ribbon. And some snow from flower soft (polar white). :) Sorry about the pic, it's almost imposible to get a good one in this darkness.

Enjoy your day and I hope it is a brighter one than here. Rain, rain, rain, dark, dark, dark...

All the best,
Marie

Another challenge combo and DT call

I'm back after having another set back with my joints. Totally lucky that I have my crafting to keep me busy! Give me something fun to think about. Just gets a little slow in working progress every now and then. :)

This time I have a card combining the challenges at LOTV and Passion for Promarkers. The card is also made for the DT call over at Bearly Mine Design. So of course this card is made with here wonderful DP. Freebees just as Donna wished for, exept for one. The brown one in the back, that is from the Plain paper stack of hers. Go over and check the DT call out for yourself! The theme at PfP is Best friends, and the sketch is from LOTV made by the lovely and inspiring Bev.

Well then! Back to my card. This time I used the aquamarkers to colour my image. I used a piece from an album sheet this time. Try to find the best paper to colour on, so far letrasets own cartright pad is in the lead together with the aquarell pads around. Heavy weight of course! The image is from LOTV, DP from Bearly Mine, some die cut buttons and stars and this is what I ended up with.

Now time for a little rest and the pick up the boys from day care last time this week. Have a wonderful day! I see you soon again!

Hugs
Marie

And a little PS: Thanks Annelie for the Award! I will "deal" with it during the weekend! Thanks again! :))

Another little creation

Oh yes! I did make a bunch of these little boxes for the cat shelter the other week. I have shown two of them so far I think. Here comes no. 3. This is also made with DP from Donnas Bearly Mine Design. I am so in love with these DP. And I love to get them in to the right size already in the computer. Can't be any better!
For this I have also used a HÀnglar image coloured with my promarkers. Some flowers made with a Marianne createable die and flowers and leafs from Wild Orchid Craft. Swirly stamps from Whiff of Joy. God Jul sentiment from StÀmpelgÄrden.
Have a wonderful Monday!

Hugs,
Marie

Passion for Promarkers meets Friday sketchers

At Passion for Promarkers this week you can choose from making a pink and white christmas card or a lilac and white one. I went for the first option as I have printed out a bunch of wonderful pink DP from Donna at Bearly Mine Design. I combinded this with the lovely sketch from Friday Sketchers this week. A real joy to work with. It has taken me the whole week to get this little card together after being totally knocked out from cold and meds for the joints. I'm on recovery now and it feels good.
The wonderful stamp is a digistamp from Inger Harding. Found it thanks to Lia in the Netherlands. Thanks for the tip Lia. They are all wonderful. Really greatful that these has come my way. I love the old fashion look of those ladies. Please check out Lias wonderful work, as well as Ingers blog.

This is it for me for today. Time to put the kids in the bath tub and then a storie and then hopefully they go to sleep fast. I need so rest! ;)

Hugs,
Marie

Ohh, such a long week.

Have been spending most of it in bed. Totally knocked out of my meds in a lovely combo with a really bad cold. Not to recomened. Still lacks a lot of energy so this card is probably the most simple you will see this year! I used "big snowflakes" from PinkPretticoat, a ribbon from Wildorchid Craft and some pearly things and a snow flake charm from a cross stitching magazine.
This card goes in to the challenge at Altheas Mix where we are making Christmas Cards till 13th of december. This week the theme is Red. Only 9 weeks left or something like that. Good that I have this challenge as I gave away most of my Christmas cards yesterday to the Catshelter Kompis. Sent all my guys (young and old) while I stayed in bed. Hope they managed to sell some of it.

Time to head back to the bed again. Still dizzy!

Take care!

Marie

Just a little something

I've have decorated another little gang of match boxes. The coming weekend it's club championships at Calmare Cat Club and the catshelter "katthemmet Kompis" will be there. I support them and instead of just giving them cards that I've made, I thought that a few of these would be nice to give them. I am so happy that you gave me this idea Annelie! Thanks again!
For this little box I have used two of the new stamps from the Club kit from Magnolia, a flower from Prima and DP from Bearly Mine Design once again. I love those made by Donna. This time I made "handles" from ribbon instead of brads. A little easier to open the small boxes this way.

This is all for now. Take care and have a lovely day!

Hugs,
Marie

Sunday 17 October 2010

Finally!

Have manage to get the card ready for this weeks challenge at Altheas Mix. This week we are playing with snowflakes, and it is still October - Pink Ribbon month, so this card as well goes in pink. The DP are from PinkPretticoat. Snowflake from spellbinders. The "ribbbon" with sentiment did I make with the computer.
It's really sweet and short this time as I have so much painkillers in my body at this time that I hardly know what I am doing. ;) Kind of dizzy and all.

Take care and enjoy this sunny Sunday!
Hugs,
Marie

New day, New card

Ok, here we go my first halloween card. Never done one before as I don't celebrate it. Now however in my last club kit from BildmĂ„larna this little cutie is one of the "members". Won't be fair to leave him and all the bats uninked would it? At the moment I'm trying to figure out what I can use the stamp with all the little bats on to more. I was wonderful to work with. Anyway, BildmĂ„larna stamps it is this time, a new club kit will soon be out. Can't wait. Hoping for many more cuties. My little batman is coloured with aquamarkers this time.
The DP is once again Donna's from Bearly Mine design. This are actually freebees. Always wonderful and good printing quality. Love them tons! I have not used many embellishments for this card, as I had the spiderweb on one of the DP and all of my bats on the other. There is also a third one that I've used to make a little pocket for the tag that is inside the fold. A very good idea that someone came up with. Thanks for that. A little space to write a little something. Some halfpearls from BunnyZoe and some yarn in the tag is all there is for decorations on this card.
I enter my card to the following challenges:
* Passion for Promarkers - Black, organge, green and purple with option of halloween
* Papertake Weekly Challenge - Three of something (I've got my three DP and three different stamps used)
* Cup Cake Craft Challenge - Scary Creatures
* Moving along with the times - Halloween

So time for some x-stitching. Working on a HUGE advent calender for my boys. My guess is that it won't be finished until next year. But hey, I give it a try!

Marie

Just Magnolia - Everything in two

Morning to you all! Here comes another Magnolia X-mas from me. This time I've used two of the new Magnolia stamps from the new clubkit. Edwin and the candy cane had to work magic for me this time. They are coloured in distress inks, and DCWV paperstack has provided the DP this time. Two patterned papers, two charms, two pieces of string, two knots. So I guess I fullfill the criteria for this challenge at Just Magnolia this week.
Have a wonderful day, hopefully warmer than we have it here today so far. Only one degree outside today. Burrr.

Hugs,
Marie

Magnolia Christmas time

So here comes a little more Christmas for you all to look at. :) Once again this little sweetheart from Magnolias christmas stamps from last year. Last week I did a card with her in pink this week I go for blue. :)

I have coloured her with distress inks, used DP from Bearly Mine Design. A stamp from Stempelglede (grunge flourish hearts) for the corners stamped in frayed burlap from Tim Holtz. A heart ribbon from Altheas Mix and my last embellishment is a die cut star in acetate that I have put some glitter stickles around in golden rod. The same colour that I've used on the other stars on the image. (I do hope that my ribbon counts as an embellishment)

With this card do I enter these challenges:
* Bah! Humbug! - Favourite cuties
* Die Cut Dream's X-mas challenge - 3 papers, 2 embellishments and one handpainted image.

Have a good evening! Now time for dinner and then some shopping for food!

Hugs,
Marie

Altheas Mix Christmas Challenge - Any christmas image

Have already finished my card for the challenge at Altheas Mix this week. Has a theme of "Your choise of picture/image". I went with one of my favourite Christmas Tildas from last year. Don't know how many candle lights I've used her for. It's a joy to colour her in, and yesterday did the latest club kit from Magnolia came in the mail box. I've inked up a couple of the images but not finished the colouring yet. May be tonight. I'm spending a lot of time finishing of my boys photo albums at the moment and it's a joy to do that. Can't believe that I manage to make so many cards this week as well.
So Tilda from Magnolia, pink (!, Yes I gave it another try from last weeks challenge Christmas a la Pink ribbon). I used my digital DP from Bearly Mine design. Love them! All colours and motives you can ever think of. Some half pearls, flowers from Wild Orchid Craft, and a piece of cream and gold ribbon. To top it all of some stickles glitter glue in gold and chrystal.

Take care,
Marie

Another little creation of mine

Hi to each and every one of you!
This is my creation for the day. I have used one of my Magnolia Tildas from last years club kit. She is coloured with distress inks on water colourpaper. It's wonderful to use a brush every now and then to colour my images. It's not that much to say about it really. Tons of glitter and sparkle (diamond dust in the white parts of the stripy DP and stickles around the circle and on the flowers), DP from Dovecraft I think, flowers from Wild Orchid craft, gems from Anitas, ribbon from my stash, then add a little creative love and I end up with this sparkly creation of mine. ;)

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges:
* Totally Tilda - glitter and sparkle
* Just Magnolia - Anything goes
* Die Cut Dream's Christmas Challenge - glitter, ribbon and gems

Take care and enjoy the rest of the evening!

Hugs,
Marie

Me and my X-mas cards...

... after having done I don't know how many X-mas cards already this year and I'm still not tired of it. I am totally amazed by myeself. :) This one is kind of simple but such a joy to create. At Passion for Promaker this week the theme is recycle. And so have been done. The corrugated card I'v used as a back ground is from a gift from my birthday. It's not showing very well on the photo but it is spray painted in silver, with a can I had left from last year when I sprayed a few out door flowerpots for X-mas time.

Also the string that is in the back ground of the little Santa men is reused. Kind of Knicked it from my sons calender. Don't worry he makes tons of the at Kindergarten and each and every one of them has a string on them. He won't be missing this. He tells me that every one needs to have a calender. I ask what he has all of his for, he simply looked at me and said so I know when I don't have to be at kindergarten. Four years old, what an age it is. :) Huge problem not to laugh too much at him. He is a serious guy. ;)

The paper I've used for my Christmas trees are also reused. (A Marianne die). The paper was rapped around a bunch flowers a while back. I thought it was kind of OK for stuff like this as it is much harder than flower papers normally are. They are embossed and got a little fluid chalk over them to give some more contrast to them. Santa guys are a tiny little snag 'em stamp. I found it really cute and will be great on the Christmas envelopes this year. They are poped up on 3D-dots for some more depht in the card.

I am also entering this card in the challenge at Winter Wonderland which have the theme of a male christmas card this week.
This is all for now. Take care and enjoy your evening.

Hugs,
Marie

Altheas Mix Card a la pink ribbon

Happy Sunday to everyone!
This card as it is Sunday is made for the Altheas Mix X-mas challenge which this week has the theme of Pink Ribbon, the breast cancer campain that take place each year. Mita want us all to make lots of pink cards the whole month of October as the campain goes on during this time. So please join in and make your christmas all in pink for a while.
This was a night mare for me as I normally don't do pink. I hardly have any pink DP at all. Kind of solved this with using a valentines paper. Hearts and everything on it, but Christmas is all about love, isn't it. The image is from Lili of the Valley. Really cute isn't it? A snowflake from from a die, some half pearls and white glitterations from Anita. I used brown cardstock to break up the pink a little. Can't stand making a card totally pink, at least not at this time. Different periods for everything...:)

So I will read for my boys, try to get them to settle down a little. Kind of wild around here today.

Hugs for you all,
Marie
