Papertake weekly Challenge - Do something different

Hi again!
I've got another card for you today. It's made for my aunites 70th birthday that is coming up next week. Big celebration on saturday. And for this I have done something I have done only once before, and something I never done before. So it fits the challenge of PTW this week - Do something different. Once used the sewing mashine, never metal corners and never a picure like this before either. So even if it's just an ordinary card, it's filled "with something different".

I have used a vintage photo fond on the net and made a vintage card which I hope my auntie will like. Hope she doesn't see this. She doesn't really like it that I write in English here, she wants me to write in swedish so that she can follow it... :)

Well, back to my card. Vintage picure, metal corners, lots and lots of gold embossing, golden pearl maker and cream coloured half pearls from Bunny Zoe. Roses from  Wild Orchid Craft and rose buds from Stämpelboden/storyteller. DP is Tim Holtz shabby paperpad. Sown around all tiny squares and the main picture.

Hope you like it and most of all, I hope my auntie will like it.

Take care and hugs,
Marie

Passion for promarkers week 49

This week it's time to follow a sketch and to make your own flowers at Passion for Promarkers. Can't believe that I found this hard. Maybe because my mind is of trying to create some wedding invitations for my brother and his fiancé. I have only a rought sketch ready, but hey! I have several more days to make them, eeeh? Well, there is always night time. :)

Michelles sketch looks like this

My card is made with yet another one of the sweet images from Lili of the Valley. They are really growing on me and are becoming big time favourites for me. Delish to colour as well. You really should try some of this cuties. :)

So, since my card is a little small and my DP kind of busy I decided to have a little different look at the sketch and used only the "outside"/stripe of the circle. I also replaced one of the layers behind the image with a piece of acetate. So all layers are there just a little harder to spot them compared to if I had used papers instead. Have used raffia in a natural colour to fit in with all my green and brown colours.

Have done two types of square flowers, a little more "boyish" I hope. The small ones just a couple of squares glued together in different angles with a bling stone in the middle. The bigger ones are also made from squares that I have cut into the corners, and folded one piece into the middle from each flap. In the middle a tiny square and a button. At first I only wanted the big ones but they looked to bulk on the side of the image so they ended up like this instead. Inspiration came from my youngest kids kindergarten ward where they have a huge "wheel" like that. It's so much summer in that. Used to have those when I was a kid as well, and run around in my grannys garden with my brothers. Those where the days ha?

Papers are from MME, buttons and bling Papermania and it's coloured with the promarkers of corse.

So this is all from me for today. I wish you a wonderful evening and hope it's warmer where you are! Brrr, has anyone seen spring?

Hugs,
Marie

Ps: I think I enter this for the Lili of the Valley challenge as well. The theme there is Here comes summer. It's not typical summer colours but the boys having cookies out and drinking lemonade could really be my own two ones.

A little bunch of challenges

A few challenges are up again, and I made a card for three of them.

* Just Magnolia - Anything goes
* Simon says - Things with wings
* Papertake weekly Challenge - A lovely sketch

For this card I've used a few of the new Magnolia stamps from the club kit and coloured it all with my promarkers. Roses are from Joanna Sheen this time, and the buds from Stämpelgården. DP are all Magnolia as well. Halfpearls from Bunny Zoe and kaiser craft.

Really short this time but I'm running out of time...

Hugs,
Marie

Lili of the Valley challenge No 51 and PFP

G'day!
After a cold and snowy night! Yep, you read right it snowed again last night, all covered in with , but now it has started to rain. Thank you for that! I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw all that white stuff again. Never thought I would be pleased with some rain coming down. :) A first for everything I guess.

Todays card is made for two challenges Lili of the Valley and Passion for Promarkers entry no 2. (Theme in the garden) I've used a real cutie from LOTV stamps. "Me and my cat" I think it's called. A little girl and her cat sitting on a stair with a BIG flower pot behind them. Really sweet. The card is based on Bev's wonderful sketch of corse, looking like this.

My little card

Papers are from the ever so popular Papermania "Rose Garden". Most cards I've seen has used the pinky stuff, I thought that I go with the green and blue. Goes well with my lilac and blue colours for this card. I've used some cherry blossoms and pin from Wild Orchid Craft, some leafs made with QC, olive coloured ribbon. Silver charm from Pagoni, half pearls from Inkido and some bronze coloured stickles from Rangers. Of course the little darlings are coloured with promarkers.

Have really good day!

Passion for promarkers and Cupcake craft challenge

Hi and hello! Mi back again. Right from the dentist, oochh. One more thoot ready to do it's work, one more to go. Wonder what I've done to deserve this? Well, halfway there anyway.

So for this my new card I been experimenting a little bit. A while back I got some fabric flowers from a scrapping friend size MEGA big, and that's the flower not my friend. :) They are all plain white and I found that a little dull. The challenge at CCC this week is red and white so I thought. PROMARKERS time to work again! I bled a little more than I expected and look a bit sloppy on the photos but IRL it's totally OK. I used lots of blender pen as you understand since I coloured the thing in with crimson red, just as the DP from Pinkpretticoat. Lovely papers and so useful! Have also used a strip of mirri board in red for some nice effect to the soft feeling of the flower.

For the middle of the flower I punched a circle in a good size for my flower, coloured it in with the crimson pen. Then added a layer of microbeads, covered it all up in some glossy accent. Waited and waited for it to dry, then coloured it again and then repeated it all once more and finished with a new layer of colour here and there. Glued on a few dew drops for some detail and here it is.

I do hope this count for "In the garden" as the challenge is at Passion for Promarker. And as told before CCC have the theme of "Red and white".

I don't really know what happend to this photo, the one below is more acurate in colour way.

It was great fun to do something new (for me that is) and now I will soon get back to the crafting room. Have a another little "In the garden" on the go. Started it yesterday alread, can I enter twice PFP? :)

Time to hook the card up to the challenges. Take care!

Hugs,
Marie

Friday sketchers

Finally I've managed to make a card for the fabby sketch challenge that is Friday Sketchers. I've used a new stamp from Magnolia, Sweden. I think she is dancing. Really sweet. The DP's are from Panduro classic Tilda, I've got some Prima flowers on as well as roses from Wild orchid craft (just as always). Leafs and swirls are die cut from QC. Pearl pins from Panduro and some pearl floss from Stämpelgården. Half pearls from Bunny Zoe. Oh, and platinum stickles from Rangers as well. What would a card be without that? :)

This is the sketch

A treat to work with. However I decided to flip it around and use it "standing" instead. I will use this treasure again. Superfun to work with Inge!

So here comes my card. All in pink, black and warm grey. Love those colours together.

Of to some food and then the hairdresser. It was a really long time since I took care of my hair so it's about time now.

Hugs,
Marie

Tilda as Snow white

Sunday again! Doesn't the weekend pass way to qickly? Grey weather today as well and as a letter in the mail my joints are not feeling too well. I just want to go and sleep and wake up when it all has passed. What a wonderful dream!

Last night when Mr Sandman forgot to pay me a visit I made this card with one of the new Tildas from the Spring kit. Lots of sweet stamps in there. I've coloured her with my promarkers and used DP from Bo Bunny I believe. I've bought so many stripy ones recently that I can't hold them apart. Lace is from Wild orchid crafts. I coloured it with one of my promarkers to fit the colours. Flowers are from Panduro but I kind of embossed them with the Swiss dots instead of keeping the original look. Buttons from Papermania, half pearls in gold from Bunny Zoe. Letter stamps from Panduro as well.

My white pen kind of ruined the image as it smeared the red colour. Please prettend that it's not there. -LoL-

The card is for following challenges
* Just Magnolia - sketch and option of Thank you
* Cupcake Craft Challenges - Childhood Memories (Snow white representing all books that I used to read as a kid).
* Simon Says challenges - Movie theme. I guess my move is pretty clear isn't it? :) And the flowers are dry embossed...

Well of to bed for some rest and heat on my back. Take care, who knows I might even get back later on with a new card if some energy pops up again. :)

Hugs,
Marie

Passion for Promarkers week 47

Ok, finally after lots of vistits to the hospital this week I've managed to get a card together for the Passion for Promarker Challenge where the theme is "create your own background using only your markers". Hey ya! That is a challenge, isn't it? :)

I had absolutly no clue of what to do with this challenge and thought I should wait to next week but hey you can't give up before you have tried can you? So I got a card together with a few of the new stamps from Magnolia's Spring club kit. I wanted to use Sheerwood Edwin right a way. Such a little cutie!

So for my back ground then. I have created a little scenery with a little wood, sky, some stones, and muschrooms, stones and the Magnolia snail. Kind of cute isn't he? Only some cardstock is added to finish the card and give it some "framing". It's also in 3-D as I have spent some time cutting some parts of the card, like a tree, Edwin, muschrooms, snail and stones and the colouds as well. Probably show a little better on the second photo.

It's time to go and pick up the boys so this is sweet and short for today. Have promised them an icecream and they have been wait all day for that, so I better stick to my promise and get some letters in the mailbox as well. A fat bunch actually. Have been really good this week when it comes to writing letters. Something you can do on the bus to and from the hospital.

Have a good day!
Hugs,
Marie

Just because of the fun of it

I made this card a while back. It's a coulpe of high hope stamps and at that time I was trying to learn how to colour in only one colour. This was my first attent to it and I kind of mixed different kinds of grey. Not to prefere but now I've learned. Stay to one kind of gray like warm grey, cool grey etc. It is coloured with promarkers pens.

I do like the card anyway maybe because the image makes me smile. Now time to head of for the hospital again. A few dewdrops are used to reflect the water. Leafy thing is from Marianne Design and so is the flowers. Ribbon from stash. Background paper is a down load and the stripy one is from my stash. Don't know where I got it.

Have a good day!
Marie

Sunday 11 April 2010

Another day and another card, well two actually

So here we go again. Feels like I've been running around for ever and are so tired. I have done nothing much since I've got lots of pain. Yes, again. The weather is changing from warm to cold, from sun to rain all the time. Makes my joints go nuts that's for sure.

So here comes a second and third entry for Passion for Promakers. Is that OK? I hope so. The theme is
"The young ones". There is actually a reason to why it's two cards. One of my brothers has twin girls and as much as they share. They don't need to share birthday cards as well. They are two girls and not one. Question is who is who? I never going to learn. These girls are crazy about pricesses and flower. They turn 6 years old and their highest dream is to see our crown princess get married this summer. :)

Second challenge for these cards is Just Magnolia. The theme over there is "Punch it out" and so I have. At least a little. Some leaf for the flowers on the card. Punches are McGill and Woodware.

For DP I've used Forever Friends Pink Parafit, flower are a mix out of Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts and Panduro. Also the lace comes from Wild orchid crafts. Charm is from Scraplagret. Have also used a few dew drops and a copic spica glitter pen. The letters are made with a sizzix alpha called Monde something something. On this lower card I've also used so clear glossy accent to make the name stand out a little more.

This my friends is all from me for today. I wish you a wonderful Sunday and hope that you'll have a really good evening.

Hugs for you all,
Marie

Lili of the Valley challenge No 50

Good evening!
Here comes my second card for tonight. Have recently bought a bunch of Lili of the Valley stamps. Just love cat images and they have the cutest little one called Thomas. :) My own cats are called Hasse and Tage after two old swedish comedians. They are soon two years and do try there best to be as funny as the originals.

Well then, the challenge at LOTV challenge is to use blue, silver and one other colour. Hope I've done that. Blue and silver and some pink. I've coloured this one with my distress inks and I kept asking myself why I didn't use my promarkers. My answer to myself was that it's good to challenge yourself even a little more once in a while and so I did. :)

The card comes here, a very simple one but the image is so cute that it doesn't need to be much on it. At least that's what I think.

The DP are from Pink Pretticoat all in in duck egg blue. (Little hearts, gingham, and solid) Fave colour of mine! The hat pins did I make myself with some silver pearls and blank hat pins. Very relaxing exercise! Ribbon from Wild orchid craft. The pearls are from Pagoni.se. Some card candy in the corners. Well, that's it I guess.

Now time for some relaxing television and then bed time. Will be a long day tomorrow as both my boys are at home. They always are during Fridays. And I always get really tired. :) Lots of energy, but now are one of them sick and really cranky. Not so much fun. Just hope that Willy won't get it as well.

A good night to you all,
hugs
Marie

Passion for Promarkers "The young ones"

Hi and hello!
MI here again. Have produced a little card again. Huge problems getting this together. The young ones are not my theme, that's for sure. And I have to put TWO birthday cards together for my nieces who turns 6 years old today. Yepp! Twin girls! Lucky for me I still have some time to do it as they are away and ski in "Sälen" and won't be home for some days. But I do need to get them done during the weekend. Hope there will be some new Magnolia stamps in my mailbox tomorrow. That would make it easier.

Well then, time for me to show of this strange card of mine. It's as the header says made for PFP.
Here we go...

All dressed in pink, and I used brown ink for this image. Maybe that's why I don't get in together for real. DP are from Papermania, Sweet nothing I think it's called. I love the back ground paper, but it was harder to work with than I thought. The little "Tindra" girl is from Magnolia, have used a few clear dew drops in the corners and BB cardstock in purple and white. Also a white pen for the fake stitching to get more white in to the card. Holds it together better that way.

Well friends, this was all about this little creation. Hope you'll have a good evening!

Hugs,
Marie

A card made for "Kort i Fokus"

This card I show you today I start to take part in a Swedish challenge called "Kort i Fokus" but I never finished it in time. It is like that every now and then you know. I couldn't decide if it was ready or not. In the end I didn't put anything more on it. Maybe a little sentiment would have been nice. Not too late before I send it away is it?

Anyway, I've used an image from Whiff of Joy, coloured her with inkadinks brights. Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts, spellbinders scalloped and ordinary circles are used, ribbon from Panduro, DP bought from Skaparlusten, Punsh from MS. A pink pearlmaker has also been out to decorate the card.

Hope you'll have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Marie

Just Magnolia Monthly special

Hi on this post again! :)
Some new photos of the card. Have spent way too much time on it not to show it off. :)

Hi there everyone!
Sitting by my mum's computer today and try to get a few photos burned down to CD's. The burner at home has taken a long vacation as it seems.

Since I spent last night, well the night before that making a card for this challenge at Just Magnolia, which is "Fold it". I better show it of as well. It has taken some time to make this one, but I had tons of fun. Maybe I went a little too far with the flowers this time, but since I placed a flower bed infront of the fence, it needed to be alot of them. :)

I've used an old fence stamp, one of the winter kit Tildas and an old church stamp from Magnolia as well. It gave this result.

As you can see I made a stair step card with a few folds. The card is for a young lady who will have her "konfirmation" in a month or two. Made the card for her grandmother to give to her. I do hope they all like it. I sure did have a lot of fun making it.

Time to get back to business and burn some photos again. I wish you a good day and evening. I hope I will be allowed to sleep the whole night tonight. Neither Philip nor Willy slept tonight. It's in other words a new foggy day. Lucky for us mum and dad cooked for us today. Thanks for that!

Hugs to all,
Marie

Friday Sketchers week 96

Happy Easter! Have been on tour today with all of my boys. They wanted to go by bus in to the city and so we did. Visited the "Golden M" as well, but I think that they rather would have gone to the toy store. More fun there. It's a real spring day here in Kalmar today, sun is shining and the wind is cold, but not as it was the other day.

I spent last night making a card for Friday Sketchers Challenge. This week's sketch is made by Tanja and it looks like this and it was really nice to work with. Thanks for that!

For my card I've used a Sarah Kay image that I don't remember the name of, but really cute of course. :)
She is coloured with distress inks from TH in different kind of blues. I've paired her up with Basic grays Wisteria Lane collection. Some blue pearl maker is used, as well as a few dew drops. Flower from Prima, and cherrie blossoms from Wild orchid Crafts and so is the hat pin. The leafy things is made with a die from Marianne Design. The cat charm is from Landstoken.se. Some stickles from Rangers in colour of platium as my fave card maker does them.

Well, Philip is really angry at the moment so I better go and see if I can make him a little happier. He fell a sleep on  the bus and didn't like that he has missed out of the ride. Two year olds, terrible two has gotten a new meaning with him...Luck for us he get older every day. - smile -

Happy Easter!

Hugs,
Marie

Friday sketchers week 95

Hello again!
Another card made and finished. Have had the image laying around for ages. Coloured and done. Think I've coloured this one with inkadinks, or maybe the normal refills from TH. Don't recall anymore. Seems to be one or two problems with blogger today, so I hope that I will be able to get my pictures in here before it's too late to take part in the challenge. Tomorrow it's Friday again. It goes so fast.

The sketch for this week at Friday Sketchers

The image I've used is from Bildmålarna.se, coloured with inks, flowers from prima, cardcandy from cardcrafts, and old papermania paper pad is used for DP. Some "dew drops" and ribbon from Bunny Zoe is also used. Sentiment written by my parters old Dymo laber. And I think that's all I've used for this card.

Wish you all the best for the Easter!

Hugs,
Marie

April's first card

Finally some energy again to make a few cards. This week is a good one as it's possible to combine a few challenges again. Kind of like that when I feel so tired all the time.

This card is for Passion for promarkers (Use two images on your card), Papertake weekly (open challenge), Just Magnolia (sketch) and for Crafty Creations (Anything Goes)

The sketch looks like this
My card looks like this and of some reason I went totally lilac today. Not my usual colour but it turned out OK. I'm more of a blue girl, but to keep crafting fun, change colour every now and then. :)

I've used two Magnolia images, Diary Tilda, and spring fence. The sentiment stamp is from Prickig form. Flowers are from Wild Orchids craft and Prima, leaf is made with a die from cuttlebug, small dew drops from Bunny Zoe, the big ones from a local flower shop (really cheep as well, we like that don't we?) Pins are from WOC as well. Some cream pearlmaker, and three different kind of stickles (lavender, golden rod and platinum) is used as well. DP from Papermania.

It's really sunny outside today but the wind is cold. My boys are at kindergarten and have a small easter celebration. Wasn't sure that the little one could go there today, bad cough but we gave it a try anyway. They call me if he needs to go home. He loves being there so and I kind of need the rest when they are away. Tons of pain in my joints and not much sleep because of that. Lucky for me I have my crafting so I can forget at least a little about it. :)

Feel a little sad today as well. Found out yesterday that they have foud the remains of three of the missing nine cats from the cat shelter that burned down on New year's day. Didn't thought all of them had made it, but it's sad anyway. Now there is only 6 missing but I think they are gone as well, but you never know, do you?

Have a good day!
Hugs,
Marie
