Chocking I know!

Hello my friends! I am back for the second day in a row. Can't remember when that happened last time. LoL Finally seeing the light of the tunnel, the meeting I was so stressed out about is over and went fine. I think I love the Employment office at the moment. LoL Such lovely lady that will be my contact person there, now I can relax and make the best of something that most people wouldn't enjoy doing. I see this as the start of my new job and I will totally do my best to make it work. Tomorrow it's time for the final (?) meeting with my psychologist and then I can do weekend. If the kids wasn't sick... How typical isn't that? When you have the preoccupied week in ages, the kids get sick. Just have to like it, right? Couldn't have done this week without my mum. Thanks for your help!

So I actually have a card as well. Yepp! It's true, I have managed to fininsh a card that isn't a design team card. That is also the first time in ages. Have been looking forward to using some of my stamps, but in the end I used a digital one anyway. This one is from Sugar Nellie and is called Warm Winter Wishes, also found in rubber. I have had this little cutie coloured for a while now but hasn't managed to get it on to a card before. I have coloured it with my Prisma pencils, still learning but if feels like I'm getting there. I took inspiration from the Emperor Penguins that has little tassels in their ears and some yellow oranges around here and there.

My designer papers are from Bearly Mine Design and from the digi kit called Christmas Fun. The sketch I have followed is from the Sugar Bowl. Have just sneaked in a little doily in between as I wanted to break the  colours up a little bit. Sentiment stamp from LOTV, dotty stamp from Stempel glade. Ribbon and buttons from The Glitterpot, metal corner from WOC and wooden snowflake from BunnyZoes. I think that cover it all. Hope you like it!

Hello

and good morning to you all! Hope your day started well. Here we are ok, but it's the most busy week in ages, since before summer I would say. Doctors, employment office, health insurance office, physio, "shoe doctor" etc. I'm grateful that I am alive! If I was longing for last weekend, this is nothing compared to how much I want it to be weekend this week. I know, here and now. But for now that is not working with me even if I know it has to be like that. I do my best and take it one day at the time. I just wish it wasn't so moist outside! My body is not feeling to well in this so lets hope for high and dry fall weather soon and not this.

This is a card made by Mi, well of course it is. I was just looking for a different way of starting my rumblings about my card. LoL It's a quite simple card for the new challenge over at Bearly Mine Challenges. I have used the wonderful pink and orangeie digi set called Cheeky Days. Love the colour combo there. I have paired the papers up with the lovely Gypsy Dance from the Paper Shelter. She is coloured with my Prisma / Polychrome pens. One of my first time doing a whole image this way, so please don't laugh. At least not so that I can see it, ok?

As we are having the theme of Anything that glitters over at the Bearly Mine Challenges this week, I have glitter all over the card. Not that it normally shows, but this time it does for sure shows on the clothing the dancer is wearing. It doesn't look that bad IRL, it just shows on the picture and it shows really well. LoL. On my flowers are there some frosted lace stickles from Rangers. Gems from my stash and pearls from Rox Stamps here in Sweden. Flowers are from WOC and Kort och Godt. Feathers from Magnolia. All the edges are distressed with some ink from T.H.

We do have a sponsor for this challenge as well and that is no other than the Lovely Donna from Bearly Mine Designs. Two digi sets of your choice is up for grabs. You don't want to miss out on this. The new Christmas set is to die for, called Christmas ligths and was put up in the shop a few weeks ago. Go and take a look. You find all the links you need to the right here on my blog.

So please come and join our game. We are waiting for you! And a big thank your for leaving a little trace of you when you're leaving.

Love n hugs
Marie

Mid week and I can't wait for the weekend

Hi there all dear ones, I am back with a new card for you all to take a look at. I hope that's why you are here at least. :) The schools are on the go again and so is the day care. It take me a while to get back into routines but I get there in the end. My body need a few weeks to get used to all the bike riding I do every day now. Even if it's not that far to go, I have to go that way four times per day Monday to Friday and then comes all the other rides during the day. My legs are working hard and that's good, free work out. Who doesn't need those?

Anyway, back to my card for this week. I have used the lovely spring breeze by the Paper Shelter. I have had my eye on that image for a while now, and when I went on holiday I had her and a few more gals printed to be colored while I didn't bring all of my crafting stash with me. LoL No choice than do some colouring and that was good. I finally started to realize how the Prisma pens is working and this image is coloured with copics and prisma pens for shading.

The designer papers are once again from Maja design, Vintage summer. Flowers are a mix from Magnolia, WOC and I am Roses. Some gesso around the card and on the pearls and flowers. Also some cheese cloth from WOC behind the image. Sentiment is from LOTV and so is the postage stamp in the left corner. Pearls from Bunny Zoe and dragon fly from Altheas Mix. Doily behind the image is made with a Cheryl Lynn die.

As my card is made for our new challenge over at the Paper Shelter I might share or theme of the week as well. We are doing everyones favourite by the theme of Anything goes. As usual you can win a gift certificate worth $20 if you play with a TPS image, playing with another brand means that you have the chance of winning three digis of your choice. Lovely as well, right?

So please do come and play with us as we can't wait to see what you all are up to. Remember only three entries per crafter, and one of those has to be with a Paper Shelter image on them.

Love n hugs
Marie

A card made

Hello there! Sitting here once again. It's really hot outside and I don't have any engery left. Was spending the whole day out yesterday in the rain with my parents, kids and partner at Astrid Lindgrens värld. One of our famous writers that mostly wrote for kids. There is a whole kind of amusement park dedicated to her, filled with theater and puppet theater, and games people played in the early 1900's. Good to get away but I am really paying for it today. Sitting here trying not to think about that.

I was also planing to show a card I made about a week ago or so. The image is from Lili of the Valley, coloured with my Letraset family, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, letter stickers from Panduro, lace is also from WOC, the designer papers are Maja Design; Vintage summer, pearls from Bunny Zoe. And it is an easel card but I never took any pictures of it standing as it wasn't completly dry when I took the pictures in the middle of the night. It was picked up then...

Ok, I feel that I am not funktioning very well here so I better sign of and go and rest instead.

Love n hugs
Marie

Finally here again

I am always starting my weeks very optimistic and believe this week will be different, and then comes Tuesday and I realize that everything is like it always is; I start being behind with everything. I guess about a month or so, well that is how I feel. I sure hope this is the week when everything will turn. It's the last week for the summer holidays for the kids. W will start school next Monday and P will be back to his day care again. For myself it means that I have to see tons of people working for the health centre; like my physio, my "talk to doctor" who just feels like a friend. (Perfect!) and then the shoe doctor and then we top it off with a meeting with the Employment office and Health insurance office. Looks like all the fun is starting right at once. I have a feeling that I will loose both my physio and talking friend coming next week. Both good and bad I guess, but I always have my brother to turn to. I think with his help things will move a lot faster even if I have been very slow in progress during the summer. But soon some time to concentrate on myself again, and it will make everything so much easier.

Ok, got all of that out of me. Feels good that's for sure, now on to this post's adventure; my card! I got it made in nick of time, just like all the other weeks this summer. I decided to go Christmas here as Donna has a wonderful new digi set out called Christmas Light. Wonderful lovely colours and I got about a BIG box of Tildas and Edwins just waiting to see ink. Time to combine them as the new Christmas stamps will be out soon, a little Christmas is already out but soon there is more to come, I have heard. :)

Colored dear Little Miss Tilda with my Letraset family and did some cutting. Used the Christmas Light Digi set together with the free bee Donna was giving away when you bought Christmas sets from her last weekend. Some flowers, pearls, lace, charms and snow flakes made up my embellishments for this card. Glitter here and there and I was off to the grossery store while it was drying. Got my picture in nick of time before the sun set for the evening and here it is.

And with all this written, I still have not told you about the theme over at The Bearly Mine Challenges for this week. It is a very nice and easy one called Fly Fly away.... anything with wings. Told you it was easy, so what are you waiting for. Pop on over to the Bearly Mine Challenges and come and join us.
We also have a sponsor for this challenge and that is Whimsy Stamps. If you are the lucky winner you get to pick five digis of your choice in the store. Lovely prize isn't it?

Good evening!

Here I am again! Tired and struggling to sleep. I know it's not that late yet but the day has been long and I am drained of energy at the moment. Just a few more days and I will have some little time to myself again. I just can't wait for that. For six weeks it has been someone around me about all the time and I am a person that needs time alone.

Well, I thought I show you a card I made for one of my nephews earlier this summer. I have used a Lili of the Valley image that I really love. Coloured with my Letraset family and paired up with papers from... oh dear! I have forgotten that Echo Park or My Minds Eye maybe? The sentiment reads Happy Birthday. A fun and bright card to a great kid.

Only a little decorations on this card in the form of card craft candy and the Magnolia dies used for the cloud and banners. Also some reused corrugated card always looks nice on boy's cards. This card traveled long before ending up at Elias' place. They where out of town and I sent it to the place they where and even if I sent it well a head it came after they have left. So it had to be sent back to their place where I could have sent it from the beginning but I thought it would be fun to get some mail at the same day you have your birthday. Thank you so much Swedish Postal services! You are truly to trust with our mail!

A relaxing day

Hello there! Good to see you all again! I am finally back home again after spending about ten days at the Swedish West coast, or as it might be referred to; the rain coast. God! So much rain! But it was good to get away from home for such long time, almost two weeks. I have not been away for that long since I spent three weeks in Turkey 1997 or something like that. LoL It's a bit different being away this long with kids that's for sure.

Now we have unpacked all laundry and the rest of the bags are empty. Tomorrow starts a new chapter in W*s life. He will soon start school and is a bit nervous about it. Just like I am to be honest, I'm doing my best not to show him. It will be fine while we get into the routines again.

Now for my card. It's mid week and it's time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. This week we have Going round and round as our theme, so  please do come and join us.

I have use the cute little chap from the "happy times" set. This time it was time for the little man resting and that is just what I would like to do today. He is coloured with copics! Yes I know, a chocking experience for us all, but I do have those as well and since my Letraset family is a bit too wet to colour with for my printer at this time, these markers came to my rescue. Never wrong to have a spare filling in for you. The designer papers are from Echo Park's Strips, and dots and lines or what ever they are called. But I do love them. They are bright and cheerful and very clean in their design. I have to get a few more of those pads that's for sure. :) Some die cutting clouds and a flower with a button is my only decoration together with a sentiment saying "just dropping by" in Swedish. Oh, and a little birdie found it's way on the card too, couldn't help myself. :)

As always we have our gift certificate up for grabs worth $20 if you play with a TPS image. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice. Hope to see you around! :)

Smiles,
Marie

Yet another thank you

Hello there! Finally some sunny sun weather here in Ă…sa. It's not warm but at least some sun. It rains alot on this side of the country. I and the family is here for a few more days, house watching for my brother and his girlfriend and in the other end we have house watchers for our home. :) I start to feel a bit home sick now and actually can't wait to get back home. I miss my stuff and my cats and my WORK OUTS. As I can't run and jump I'm very limited here. So some good work out is what's coming up this coming week. But first some more relaxing days here in Ă…sa.

While I have not done any new card to show for today, I still have from my pile of teachers thank yous to show here. Same old same old; a Faye Wittaker stamp found at Joanna Sheens. Coloured with distress ink. Paired up yet once again with designer papers from Maja Design's Skärgårdsliv from last year. Some cardcraft candy and a metal charm finished this one of. I'm not a big fan of my camera's way of handling the colour red, it always turn out crappy. Just hope that I can manage to get that working soon. I am practicing but it sure doesn't show here. LoL

Challenges for this card
4 crafty Chicks - Distressing (made with distress ink around all the edges)
