What a day

I am so tired today and it feels like I have done, well, nothing! LoL And I really have not. This day was set to go back to the gym and try to figure out how I will deal with my work outs as I get so much pain in my back whatever I do, hard work out, light one, rowing, walking. You name it and I pain it! So after a week without doing nothing that would give my back even a little chance of be painful has been avoided the last week and a half. And today, time to rock on again. It went fairly good but I am so tired. It took the whole day just to go there, do the work out, get a little massage of the chair they have at the gym and then home to eat. Totally drained for energy again. However, totally love how the work out went to day even if it was a short and little one. I have pain now, but only muscle soreness, and just a little touch of pain around my sensitive part of the back (the thoracic spine where I have both a herniated disc and displacement between two vertebrae) just in line of each other. But the main thing is that it isn't how it was two weeks ago. Now I just wait and see what will happen tomorrow with my oh so lovely back. :) Keep your fingers crossed that nothing major will happen. I so miss my hard work outs and want them back!

A week ago or something like that I had a pirate card to show here and now it's time again. The same stamp from Lili of the Valley but this time paired up with some designer papers in red and blue from Magnolia. How well they work for this kind of cards! I have so much dp hoarded that I have told myself that this year no more designer papers will be bought if they are not for boys card. It's a lack of those papers around here and I have given me the go ahead to buy Swedish brands of designer papers. Let's see how that will work out.
So here comes my last Pirate card for a while. Coloured with my Letraset family in one of my favourite colour combos. Red, white and blue. So fresh for some reason. A star lace die from Magnolia is used to take up the stars from the blue paper. A "net" ribbon to have something to stuck the charm into and to pick up on the sea theme. Some card candy in two of the corners and a sentiment saying "Happy Birthday" in Swedish and my card was all done. The little guy who got it loved it and it makes it so worth doing these cards even for the kids.

An easy one

Hi there! Hope you're doing well and are enjoying your week so far. This one is a busy one here in Kalmar. Lots of health care for me, trying to catch up with everyone I missed my appointments with when I had my colds on both December and now in January. I am so sick (!) of being sick all the time. The only good thing about it is that it has to come to an end if not sooner, later, right?

It's Wednesday again and time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. This week is one of those when we at the team will have tons to do as it is "anything goes". Yepp, you heard it, "anything goes" over at the Paper Shelter this week.

I have this time take some inspiration from my teamie Tracey V that used this wonderful image on her card last time the B-team hosted the challenges. It's called 100% cute and it's found here. She is coloured with my normal Letraset family and paired up with some designer papers from Bildmålarna. They are wonderful to work with and has an amazing quality to them. The colours are wonderful too. Love them! A new found love for me.

To decorate my card have I used a lace and a wonderful butterfly charm that I got from my friend Annelie that makes the most amazing creations. Thanks so much! I love the "kit" you sent me for Christmas. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia Sweden (the lace flower). A pearl swirl from Prima, some lilac pearls from BunnyZoe, and a liquid pearl maker from Rangers are also used to decorate this card.

As always we have a $30 gift certificate up for grabs if you use a TPS image to play with and are picked by Mr Random. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice. That's also nice, but of course we love it when you play with our brand. We love giving away the big prize!

Hope you come and play with us!

Crafty hugs,
Marie

Another one to share

Good morning to you all. I am back again. I can't believe how quick the last two weeks went and now I have a new three day posting going. It feels good, wish I could have it like this all the time. The only thing is that I doesn't seem to be able to get out of my colds and don't have much more energy than making my dt cards. I hope this will change really soon as I do love my card making but at the moment I feel behind whatever I do. I am still behind with my letters but is really working on that part as it has been on a hold for a while. Have not forgotten about my dear old pen friends, I have just not had the energy for it. It is like that every now and then. I will make better in the future, promise! I will at least try! LoL

This week I have brought out one of my Magnolias. I do love them but hardly ever seem to use them. It will change from now on. I find the Magnolias most fun to colour when I use the distress inks and aquamarkers from Letraset and now there is a even wider range of colours from Letraset. It's time to bring the brushes out again. So this image is coloured with distress inks. A post card stamp from LOTV and a sentiment stamp from Bildmålarna is also used on this card. A mix and match in other words.

My designer papers are from Bearly Mine Design and is from the set called Floral Breeze. Lots of yummy pastels there. A really lovely set that you really should check out. It's stunning designs in there. I have used some lace together with some ribbon that is woven into the lace and all of that comes from WOC. My roses are also from WOC and the big lace flower is from Magnolia. Charms bought at Pagoni here in Sweden, I have actually added three of them. Just couldn't help myself, and I felt as I have so many of these hearts why not use them? LoL The berry clusters are from Magnolia also. Pearls from BunnyZoes.

And of course being Tuesday we have a new challenge up for you over at Bearly Mine Challenges. This week we are playing Tic Tac Toe. That means you have to have four rights in a row. Like from top to bottom, from left to right etc. You get it right? I have filled up the line that starts with Lots of Layers and goes from left to right (second row). Which one do you pick?

We have a whole bunch of sponsors for you this time as well and it's really lovely prizes to be won. You really need to play in this challenge, I am telling you. Listen to this: Whiff of Joy - one rubber stamp, I am Roses - gift voucher worth $35 and Crafter's Companion -  a gift voucher worth £10. Told you it's a lot of wonderful prizes to be won this time. Am I right or am I right? Just take your pick on our Tic Tac Toe game plan and get creating, nothing to wait for.

So I see you all over at the Bearly Mine Challenges.

Happy New Week!

Hello and very welcome to a new week here with little old me. Hope you had a good time since last? Here it has been ok and I am happy about that. That means things has gone smoothly for a change. LoL

I have a little Bee collection with cards to show again. This little image is from Pink Pretticoat and it has really been set to work. The first time I used it was together with some honeycomb designer papers from the same company. This time I have paired my little bee up with three different papers from Bearly Mine Designs. They come frome the digi sets called Spring Flight and Spring Delight. Even if the image is tiny it's coloured with my Letraset family and I have also used a mixture of dimond dust clear and gold to get some glitter effect on the wings, just because it's fun.

Also used is pearls, liquid pearls, Frosted lace glitter stickles and flowers in different variations from Wild Orchid Crafts. These little set of cards has also been so kind to allow me use up some of my mountain big pile of card stock scraps and it felt so good to do that. I actually got so inspired that I took the time to sort that box out and now it's standing on my desk with all pieces in it sorted into colours. How much easier will it be to use the scraps now? I just have to sort the other box out that is bursting with left overs from all designer papers that I can't throw out. Have a back up plan for those if I need to and it's to give it to kindergarten or school for the kids to use. They are always grateful to get stuff like that.

Anyway, before I get totally lost in my writing here. I didn't actually just sit down to make these for the fun of it. LoL We have a new challenge up over at Crafty Card Makers and the theme is Belated birthdays. In other words, make a card that really states that you are late with your card. It has to have a sentiment that makes that clear. And I am always late with my birthday cards, especially to my pen pals, so I thought I make a bunch while I am at it. LoL And yes, I do write my letters by hand because I don't think there is anything like getting a handwritten letter in the mail box. So much more lovely than getting an e-mail even if that is also nice. But there is a feeling of more thoughtfulness and someone has really sat down to take the time to communicate with just you. I just love it, and I think I always will. :)

Sponsoring us this time is Milk and Coffee with five images of winner's choice. Also sponsoring this time is  Sir Stampalot with a lovely prize of a set of stamps and a embossing folder. See the challenge blog for more details.

A new card

Hi and hello! I am finally here again. After being knocked out by a new cold I have finally managed to get myself out of bed and if not running, at least functioning again even if I am really tired. I thought that I should take the chance of showing a card that I made last year but hasn't been blogged yet for some reason. There was a period in November/December when we had tons of birthday both in the closest family and within the kids circle of friends. And it all the Christmas cards the cards I made in between got kind of lost. But I still do have Christmas cards that hasn't been shown yet. Be warned, they might show up in the middle of the summer. LoL

Anyway, over at one of our big museums here in Kalmar, well to be honest, our only big museum they have exhibition about pirates from past to present. And as my kids are in the ages soon to be 5 and just turned 6 they love everything about this theme. And the clever museum let you rent the place for parties. So many parties over at the museum and then you need to have a proper pirate card to give away, right? Yepp, that's what my boys thinks too and this is the first of the cards of that theme.

I don't remember from where the designer papers are, but it is a Halloween pack, perfect for pirate cards in a different colour scheme. The second one made has been done in more classic red, blue and whites. As it is a boys card it's not too many embellishments on it but there is a lovely fitting charm, some scrapper's floss that I bought tons of in strange colours, I just know it would come in handy one day. LoL. Also a few black pearls are added.

The image is from Lili of the Valley and is so cute. The LOTV images are wonderful with their boys images. I just love them. :) The pirate and his little four legged friend is coloured with my normal Letraset family.

Marie

And third posting

My gosh! You must be so tired of me by now, third day in a row. Told you it was a busy week! :) This time I have a card made for the Paper Shelter challenges. We have just ended our Holiday vacation over the Shelter and I am amazed and blown away of all the crafters that took part in our last challenge. Over 300 entries! You totally rock! The challenge was easy, but still, three hundred of you and we wasn't even commenting this time. But now we are back in business again and will do our commenting, refreshed and everything. :)

I went into spring feelings this time around and have used a really sweet image that I have not used before. She is called A Mucha Influence - Spring. Isn't she the sweetest? Love the little birdies on the branch as well.  It's coloured with my Letraset family on Letrasets own markers paper pad, the heavy stuff. The designer papers come from Victoria design and was found at a large store that sales everything and there is also a piece from a paper pad from Panduro (the checked one). The card is based on the current sketch from Crafting life's pieces.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the bits thing by the white rose is from Magnolia and so is the pearls. Ribbon from Joanna Sheen, doily Nellie Snellen, lace from Mollys Scrapbooking. The English sentiment is from LOTV and the Swedish one is from Magnolia as well.

As always we have a lovely prize up for grabs. Three digis of your choice if you play with another brand. Playing with a Paper Shelter product gives you the chance of winning a gift voucher worht $30. So please join us over at the Paper Shelter for this challenge that is really nice and simple to start the year up. Our theme is Flower Extra Vaganza. Three flowers or more and we are happy to have you join us for our challenge this week.

Well happy crafters, this was all from me for today. I can't wait to come and see what you all are up to. Even if my hands doesn't always allow me to leave you a comment, I'm always watching. LoL Stay crafty!

Second time this week

Hi! Hope you have had a good day so far and are enjoying life just like it is today. I'm here to bring you a new design team card for the new Bearly Mine Challenges that goes live right now.

Today is the first day when the kids are back in school and kindergarten since before Christmas and it's very silent and strange around here. After this I thought I would sit down and do a card or two as it now has come to I have all my three design team commitments the same week. So every second week for a while now you see me three days in a row. Scary or what?

This time we have a sketchy theme for you to follow and it looks like this. A fun and lovely sketch to work with and not my normal style as I usually work with squares and rectangles on my card designs. The boss, no not Bruce Springsteen, Donna has made this for us all to work with. I really hope you will join us in this adventure. You see it in it's big and lovely glory over at the Bearly Mine Challenge blog

I have used one of the very adorable images from Sugar Nellie to work with this time and she is coloured with my Letraset family. She might have gone a little bright but I like here. I have of course used Bearly Mine Design Papers on my card and these ones are from a few different sets. I just have to remember which ones... Let me get back to you on that one. I love my brown colours and they are so suitable for this old fashinon looking images. Love them to bits!

For decorations on this card I have used a few flowers from I am Roses and Kort og Godt, some half pearls, a butterfly die from Magnolia, some golden stickles and a few leaves. So the designer papers then; they are from Floral Fantasy (the rose paper on the narrow panel), Shabby Vintage (the big one) and the small stripes is from Summer's Roses. See I got there in the end, I really need to start writing down what I use for my cards. LoL

Sponsors, that I know about and Donna has been working hard behind the scenes and have found tons of lovely sponsors for our future challenges. This time we have two of them the Paper Shelter who I happen to design for (and tomorrow we have a new challenge up for you) and Little Darlings Rubber stamps. The Paper Shelter is offering a $20 gift voucher as a price and Little Darlings is offering one rubber stamp as a prize for this challenge. Great right?

I really hope you will join us in our new challenge. I am so looking forward to start my design team work again after the holidays even if it now seems like they passed a little too quickly. I for sure hope you had a really lovely time with near and dear ones.

Love n hugs
Marie

Finally

How quick the time passes! Week two of the year of 2013 is already here and today launches our new challenge over at Crafty Card Makers. The theme is Fairytale! Create a  Fairytale scene. In other word you have to do a little masking rubber stamping or digitally. Something for you? I know, just pop on over to the challenge blog and enjoy the inspiration from my teamies!

I have made a little mix and match project for this challenge as I have so many stamps that has never seen ink,  even if digital images is my first love nowdays I keep buying more and more rubber stamps and they are many now. Time to get them out to work again or for the first time in this case. I have used one of Magnolia's castles together with "Training my Dragon" from the digital company The Paper Shelter. It's all coloured with my Letraset family.I have also used designer papers and dies from Magnolia to make my card. Some small details added with Liquid pearls from Rangers and glitter glue of course, you can't make a fairytale without that.

We are delighted to be sponsored for this challenge by

We are kindly sponsored for this challenge by The Stampman (and Lady of course!) who are ofering the winner a £10 voucher for their store, you can spend this online, in the shop or if you're lucky enough to see them at a show!  They have a ton of items in store, enough to tickle any crafty tastebud.

In fairness to those people who do follow the theme, and to our sponsors, in future such entries will be deleted. Please also remember to mention Crafty Cardmakers in your blog post. Mr. Linky is set to block anyone that doesn't link back to Crafty Cardmakers in their post, so if you have problems please check first that you have linked correctly. *

Now time to write up tomorrow's posting and then off to bed with both a messed up head and back pain. Don't spend more than 6 hours in a ice rink watching indoor soccer if you are not prepared for some back pain. I wasn't, but I also had a good work out at the gym before and that just might have something to do with it. And no, it's not a spelling mistake, they do play soccer in the rink once every year, with some kind of carpet on it. So much fun to watch and my youngest is now an expert on what uniforms each team has and the rules, he turns 5 in a few months and has gone totally nuts about all kind of sports especially soccer and ice hockey.

See you tomorrow again when a new Bearly Mine Challenge is going up.

Love n hugs
Marie

New Year, new post

Happy New Year to you all! I realized how long it was since I posted something here but now I am back. Feeling quite ok for once and ready to take on the new beginning and all that comes with it.

I also realized how long it was since I took the time to colour some images in and I found the perfect one to get the mojo going again in this new image from the Paper Shelter called Happy Meow Year! Such fun image, and being a sucker for cats I couldn't resist making a card with it. The designer papers are also from the Paper Shelter and comes with the image. I have just done some cutting of the banners and got them together with some twine. I also added a few gold stars even if one of them look black. I will take this new year and learn to take better photos and more photos of everything and everyone.

Well, I start the year with a simple card, but yet cheerful and hope that the year will go on in that spirit of cheerfulness and happiness. I hope each and every ones year will be just what you wish for and then some more.

Love n hugs
Marie

Ps: We have a new challenge up for you over at Bearly Mine Design today as well, something new and something old. Just pop on over and have a look at what the A team has been up too!

PsII: Thanks to PFP for the price in their mega challenge and thanks to the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog for spot lighting one of my X-mas cards 30th of December. Great start for the new year! Thanks!
